Your responsibilities
As a Process Engineer you will join the team in charge of the design and construction of a new facility dedicated to the development and production of superconducting radio-frequency components. In this role, you will conduct the design of fully automated ultra-pure water generators, high-pressure rinsing and vacuum drying systems operating in cleanroom environment.
Eligibility Criteria:
You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State;
You have a professional background in Electromechanical or Process engineering (or a related field) and have either:
a Master’s degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;
or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.
You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
Skills and/or knowledge
Experience in designing process equipment for fluids, preferably for pharmaceutical or semiconductors applications;
Sound knowledge of process controls and automation;
Good knowledge of PLC programming and development of SCADA and HMI interfaces;
Analytical and problem-solving abilities;
Being able to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team;
Fluent in English, the ability to work in French would be an advantage.
