Dans ce contexte, les \u00e9tudiants des sections r\u00e9gendat en sciences et en math\u00e9matique, avec leurs professeurs, ont propos\u00e9 deux activit\u00e9s distinctes qui s\u2019inscrivent toutes deux dans le th\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de 2014\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0A la d\u00e9couverte des origines\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n

La premi\u00e8re s\u2019intitulait\u00a0: Le Soleil, je br\u00fble d\u2019envie de savoir !<\/b><\/p>\n

Depuis la nuit des temps, le Soleil influ\u00adence le monde des vivants, \u00e0 com\u00admencer par les v\u00e9g\u00e9\u00adtaux. A la fois ami et ennemi de l\u2019Homme, celui-ci a appris \u00e0 l\u2019utiliser \u00e0 son profit mais aussi \u00e0 s\u2019en pr\u00e9\u00admu\u00adnir. A par\u00adtir de cette id\u00e9e, les \u00e9l\u00e8ves du secondaire (et ils furent plus de 500\u00a0!) sont pass\u00e9s (par petits groupes) dans des ate\u00adliers d\u2019exp\u00e9rimentation et d\u2019observation qui r\u00e9pondaient aux questions suivantes : Quels sont les effets du Soleil sur la peau, les cheveux et les yeux\u00a0? Comment se prot\u00e9ger du Soleil\u00a0? Comment se chauffer, s\u2019\u00e9clairer et produire son \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce au Soleil\u00a0? Comment fonctionne une serre\u00a0? Qu\u2019est-ce que l\u2019effet de serre et comment le limiter\u00a0? Quel est le r\u00f4le du Soleil dans la couleur des v\u00e9g\u00e9taux au fil des saisons\u00a0?, \u2026<\/p>\n

La seconde \u00e9voquait les civilisations qui ont connu la gloire plus par les sciences que par l\u2019\u00e9p\u00e9e\u00a0!<\/b><\/p>\n

Les civilisations antiques se sont illustr\u00e9es par de grandes d\u00e9couvertes physiques et math\u00e9matiques qui sont les fondements de nos civilisations actuelles. L\u00e0 encore, par petits groupes, les \u00e9l\u00e8ves ont d\u00e9couvert, par des manipulations et des observations, des apports de grandes civilisations qui influencent encore notre vie actuelle : Comment, en voulant faire du commerce, les Chinois ont-ils \u00e9t\u00e9 amen\u00e9s \u00e0 inventer l’\u00e9cluse et le boulier compteur\u00a0? Comment les Babyloniens ont-ils \u00e9t\u00e9 des pr\u00e9curseurs dans la mesure du temps et le calcul sexag\u00e9simal\u00a0? Pourquoi les Egyptiens ont\u2011ils utilis\u00e9 les plans inclin\u00e9s et quel \u00e9tait leur syst\u00e8me de num\u00e9ration\u00a0? Comment Thal\u00e8s a\u2011t\u2011il d\u00e9couvert l’\u00e9lectrostatique ainsi qu’une m\u00e9thode de d\u00e9termination de la hauteur des pyramides\u00a0? Comment les Arabes ont-ils d\u00e9couvert la chambre noire et le trac\u00e9 des mosa\u00efques, …<\/p>\n

\u00c9merveillement, \u00e9tonnement, questionnement et r\u00e9flexion \u00e9taient au rendez-vous, pour le plaisir de comprendre, d\u2019explorer et de d\u00e9couvrir… selon une d\u00e9marche scientifique.<\/p>\n
