Qualifications
You are currently studying for a Master’s degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Material Sciences, or Formulation.
You have a good working knowledge of English.
You have experience working in a lab and safety is your priority.
You have experience in Formulation (Cosmetic Formulation will be a plus).
You have a passion for applying innovative ideas and demonstrate curiosity and a critical mindset in your activities.
You have strong scientific methods, statistics, and project management skills.
You can start between January and April 2023 for a period of 6 months (exact timing to be discussed).

Technical Service & Development Internship – Evaluation of a new bio-based and biodegradable polymer for personal care applications
We are looking for you, an ambitious master’s student (m/f), to support our Personal Care Technical Service & Development Team located in Seneffe (BELGIUM) by doing an internship project aiming at evaluating a new bio-based and biodegradable polymer in different applications including skin and color cosmetics.

Project description
With a strong background in Formulation and Material Sciences, you will evaluate a new bio-based and biodegradable polymer in various applications including skin care and color cosmetics. You will develop new formulations and evaluate their performance in application. The objectives of the internship will be first to assess the neat material. Based on the attributes of this new polymer, you will then develop cosmetic formulations that are aligned with market trends. During the study, you will use relevant analytical tools and testing procedures to measure the performance of the new polymer in cosmetic applications and understand its mechanism of action. The new bio-based polymer will also be compared to other technologies.
