As Supply Chain Planner you’ll be based in our hub location Terneuzen (NL), the beating heart of our EMEAI Integrated Supply Chain organization. You’ll work closely together with diverse stakeholders across regions and functions – Commercial, Manufacturing, Procurement and Logistics – to support the flow of materials into Dow and to drive best-in-class customer experience. Within our Supply Chain organization, you will have the chance to make a profound impact and find solutions for everyday challenges.
In this role you will:
Be responsible for the supply planning for one or multiple production sites or plants, within a single business unit or for multiple smaller business units.
Create a time-phased supply schedule to realize business plans in the short-term, considering plant capacity and meeting inventory and customer service targets.
Identify, prioritize and address supply issues across the network like short-term capacity constraints, product shortage, emergency customer order received, uncovered production requirement, etc.
Collaborate with customer service, manufacturing, (site) logistics, third-party service providers and business partners to meet business obligations in case of unplanned events.
Ensure most efficient use of systems, processes and technologies.
Support global supply chain initiatives by interfacing with cross-functional and cross-business teams and drive continuous improvement.
We’d like you to have:
Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field of studies.
Relevant work experience within Supply Chain.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Affinity with systems & data and solid analytical competencies.
Ability to handle pressure, set priorities and take high-impact decisions in a fast-paced environment: accuracy & timeliness are key.
‘Can do’ approach and a continuous improvement mindset.
Nice-to-haves:
APICS CPIM certification
Experience with SAP and/or OMP
Fluency in one or more of the following languages: French, German, Italian, Spanish
