The Networks IP Division, From Alcatel – Lucent in Antwerp, Belgium is focusing on Our IP portfolio that has been architected from inception to enable the creation, delivery, and monetization of IPbased network services across the residential, enterprise and mobile service domains.
Alcatel-Lucent products: The 7450 Ethernet Service Switch , 7710 Service Router , 7750 Service Router and 7950 Extensible Routing System are successful, high performance equipments.

With the ever expanding internet (50% bandwidth growth each year), the convergences of the fixed and the mobile world, the explosion of video related applications, the 4th generation of mobile communications, we are looking at growing our R&D team substantially.
We are looking for experienced individuals that want to work in a team with highly skilled and motivated colleagues.
You will:
◊ Be trained to work with the most successful products in the IP router market of today: the 7750-ESR internet router for providers and carriers (and further evolutions), you will focus on product development
◊ You will be part of the IP (Internet Protocol) division, working in a very talented team and in a technically challenging and stimulating environment which includes direct interaction with our teams from Ottawa and Mountain View Goal
◊ you will collaborate with the test team to deliver your feature with exceptional quality to the field and to maintain it during its lifetime
◊ be in close contact with the quality assurance engineers and the product managers
◊ implement and test your applications to a exceptional quality standard limiting and streamlining as much as possible the test and qualification effort
◊ to develop debug and trace capabilities within the applications
◊ understand the challenges of real-time SW design for non-stop systems
Qualifications
Technical background and experience
◊ You have an engineering degree or a degree in computer science
◊ Experiences with Linux, with IP networking, with a programming languages (C/C++)
◊ You might want to work with us if you’re genuinely interested in computer networking and in SW development for realtime systems, you are creative and highly efficient and you speak and write English fluently.
